In our Simply Party Soirée and Extravaganza Boxes we include favors and you may have noticed that we note “these are not treat bags” We have had several people as us what the difference was.
A treat bag is a small bag filled with random items like small toys and candy. Depending on what party your party theme is theses treats maybe a specific theme or a specific colors. Even though we do offer treat bags in addition to favors in our extravaganza box we prefer to give out favors.
A favor is usually a single item that is themed directly with the party theme. We prefer favors over treat bags because they are more personal and more likely to be used. Here are some examples of favors we have included in Simply Party Box orders and some favors we think would be great additions to every party!
For a recent Baby Shower BBQ we used Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce in mini mason jars as favors.
The Rainbow party box we created for a special 1 yr old we knew that the age range of guests was babies to 12 yr olds so we made favors of watercolors, rainbow colors of course and large rainbow lollipops!
We have also made favor boxes for a candy bar for a sweet baptism.
The Doctor Who Party box included handmade mugs with Dr. Who quotes on them and a Dalek or Tardis chocolate!
For a Sock Hop party we gave out hula hoops and felt poodles to all the guests!
And each guest at our Mommy to Bee Bayshower got a sweet little jar of honey!
When you are picking out what type of favor you are going to give your guests, think of something they will use and possibly reuse again and again. Remember they don’t have to be expensive or large, just thoughtful!
